We are getting the news from quite some days about home delivery of liquor in India.
This move is in regards to lessen the over crowding of people outside liquor shops.
There's more good news regarding the sale of booze in Pune & Maharashtra!
The Maha govt has decided to provide home delivery of liquor and this decision will be implemented in Pune district from My 15 tomorrow. Home delivery will be available from 10 am to 5:30 pm so we need to make a note of this timings. It was clarified that this service will not be available in containment zones. It's decided that country liquor will not be delivered at home.
Now you have both options either you can go to the liquor shop after taking the e-tokens or order home delivery of booze.
We will need to see how this service is used and how to execute an order in the system & what are the conditions that need to be followed while ordering online.
District Collector along with govt has ordered home delivery of liquor. As per the decidion taken by the state govt, doorstep delivery of liquor will start from May 15. This service will not be available in shops within 500 meters of containment one as well as those loacted inside the containment zone.
Wine shop owners will be able to get home delivery service from a maximum of 10 employees.
Wine shopkeepers have been instructed not to charge extra for home delivery services. Citizens are advised t make payment through debit and credit cards. The liquor shop employees will be issued an identity card by state excise dept. Collector has mandated the thermal screening of these employees & needs to be strictly followed.
How to get a license / liquor permit in Maharshtra
People need to buy a permit (available for Rs 5 for one day at liquor shops). If a citizen wants to order home delivery of liquor you will need a permit. This license will be available at

You can buy a lifetime or one-year liquor permit online through https://aaplesarkar.mahaonline.gov.in/en
You have to first register on the website.
If a customer doesn't have this liquor permit, it will be made available by the shopkeepers.
WhatsApp, phone or text message SMS can be used to register alcohol demand. For this, shopkeepers have been instructed to write their numbers outside their shops.
The state excise dept has made the e-token facility available for liquor purchasers. This facility is provided on the website www.mahaexcise.com Different time is given so that there is no more crowding at shops.
Many shopkeepers have said that this move should have been done weeks ago as they have shortage of staff & loaders from trucks and the crowds are now lesser compared to weeks ago.
This is a welcome move by the state government for people who enjoy alcohol and drinkers of all types of alcoholic beverages.
